responsibilities:
- Prepare and optimize experimental samples, including wafer cleaving, coating, mounting/unmounting, and fabricating high-precision TEM lamellas using focused ion beam (FIB) systems.
- Operate advanced metrology tools (SEM, FIB, TEM) to evaluate critical dimensions, identify patterns of interest, and optimize image quality conditions.
- Perform routine system maintenance (such as flash, plasma cleaning, and image calibrations), troubleshoot tool issues, and coordinate service and repairs.
- Manage lab workflows and queues to maintain high throughput, document lessons learned to lower redo rates, and track equipment performance metrics.
- Collaborate across teams to interface with requestors on detailed project requirements, update procedures, and strictly adhere to cleanroom safety protocols.
