Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Dulles, VA to lead engineering efforts on critical data center projects. You will oversee complex HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs, perform key technical calculations, and mentor junior staff. responsibilities:
- Lead conceptual design, project engineering, and technical problem resolution for data center developments.
- Perform complex mechanical calculations, including heating/cooling loads, equipment sizing, and hydraulic calculations.
- Prepare detailed preliminary redline design layouts for project estimating and construction team meetings.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure construction compliance and resolve design issues during the build phase.
- Supervise and mentor a direct team of 2-3 junior engineers on system designs and document production.
