A Plant Electrical Engineer is needed for a leading food manufacturing organization. The Plant Electrical Engineer will lead the electrical design, project management, and operational troubleshooting of plant facility electrical systems across facilities in TX. This role designs and upgrades plant power distribution networks tying directly into manufacturing equipment and control systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the engineer ensures capital projects enhance equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience in plant facilities or manufacturing environments. electrical design capabilities, thorough knowledge of NEC codes, load calculations, and proficiency in AutoCAD are required. Candidates should also demonstrate proven project management skills and hands-on troubleshooting experience with power distribution and basic controls. This candidate can be in any of our client's TX plants in Waco or east Texas. Relocation is available for qualified candidates and candidates can anticipate 50% travel to the TX locations.

responsibilities:
- Design and engineer plant power distribution systems, service switchboards, MCCs, and equipment feeds in compliance with NEC standard
- Lead capital electrical projects from scope development and single-line drawing creation through installation and commissioning
- Troubleshoot electrical, motor, and basic control system issues to resolve operational downtime and perform root-cause failure analyses
- Coordinate the integration of facility electrical infrastructure directly with processing equipment, OEM machinery, and automation systems
- Manage third-party engineering firms and electrical contractors, ensuring work adheres to safety protocols, specifications, and budgets
