A Senior Project Engineer is needed for a leading food manufacturing organization. The Senior Project Engineer will drive innovation and operational excellence across multiple processing plant projects. This role leads the complete project lifecycle-from design to commissioning-to enhance plant performance, efficiency, and safety. Working alongside cross-functional teams and external contractors, the engineer ensures all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience. AutoCAD proficiency and Microsoft Office skills are required for managing design layouts and tracking project progress. Qualified based in Waco, TX, Mt. Pleasant, TX, Lafayette, GA, or Moorefield, WV. Candidates must be willing to travel to support plant projects and have prior food manufacturing, preferably protein or Ready-to-Eat. This is a direct-hire role and relocation is available for qualified candidates.

responsibilities:
- Lead capital-budgeted engineering projects from concept through final handoff, managing timelines and tracking progress
- Serve as the primary liaison between plant personnel and contractors, assisting with layouts, utility verifications, and site supervision
- Plan and lead job-site safety meetings while actively enforcing safety policies across project teams
- Coordinate the relocation of existing utilities and the installation of new utility systems
- Maintain and update as-built drawings, retention systems, and version control for facilities, equipment, and property
