Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading automation integrator based near Tempe, AZ. This role is responsible for the design, development, analysis, and implementation of custom automated machinery and robotic systems.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, development, analysis, and implementation of custom automated machinery and robotic systems
- Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SOLIDWORKS
- Design components for strength, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost.
- Develop machine layouts and mechanical interfaces between automation systems and customer equipment.
- Design mechanical systems around industrial robots, including FANUC and other robotic platforms.
- Develop machine concepts based on customer requirements and project specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
- Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings
- Experience with FEA and structural analysis
- Experience designing automated machinery and robotic systems.
