responsibilities:
- Conduct both non-destructive and destructive analyses (using microscopy, cross-sectioning, and X-ray inspection) on customer returns, manufacturing defects, and field failures.
- Lead structured engineering problem-solving investigations utilizing established methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
- Author clear, detailed technical reports documenting laboratory observations, diagnostic findings, and actionable, data-driven recommendations.
- Partner with Product, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues, optimize yield, and reduce manufacturing scrap.
- Feed failure mechanism findings back into DFMEA and PFMEA processes to support continuous improvement and prevent future reliability issues.
