We are searching for a Senior Structural Engineer with experience in the power generation industry to work for an engineering consulting company that supports a variety of energy and industrial projects, including oil and gas, power generation and utilities.
This is a long-term contract position that could lead to a direct-hire role.
Qualified candidates can work remotely from anywhere in the United States.

responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Provide leadership and guidance to more junior engineers while executing a variety of structural engineering tasks.
- Capable of working within or leading a multi-disciplinary engineering project team.
- Layout and detail entire projects as an Engineer of Record or portions of projects under the supervision of the Engineer of Record
- Provide CAD drawings or sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters
- Research design options and document findings for Engineer of Record
- Review shop drawings
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university
5+ years' experience as a structural engineer
PE preferred, EIT required
