responsibilities:
· Designs, develops, and documents PLC software logic for extrusion, RPM, and automation projects.
· Advisement and participation in all robotic and automation installations.
· Installation and troubleshooting of Kuka, Fanuc, Yaskawa, or other robot cells.
· Lead / assist with final troubleshooting of all electrical and control systems.
· Troubleshoot Siemens, Allen Bradley, or other PLC's as necessary.
· Responsible for working with Quotation Engineering and other department managers to help define and understand task assignments and schedules as related to assigned projects.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to repair/troubleshoot electrical systems.
· Knowledge and ability to design programs to common safety standards.
· Knowledge of high voltage systems and distribution.
· Knowledge of utility systems (water, air, hydraulic, etc).
· Working knowledge of process controls technology.
· Excellent working knowledge and experience of a wide variety of controls hardware-Relay logic, PLCs including ControlLogix, and CompLogix, Frequency Drives etc. Allen Bradley, and Siemens
· Proficient in controls and user interface software (FactoryTalk View ME/SE, RSLogix, RSLogix 5000, Panelview, and others)
· Experience working with Ethernet
· Mentor and develop other members of the controls engineering team.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office software product (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Autocad
· Participate and / or lead continuous improvement projects and process development.
· Maintain all internal documentation and reports, as assigned by management.
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
Willing to travel 25% to customer sites
