Our client is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator in Washington, DC to champion field safety operations and compliance. In this role, you will lead site inspections, enforce safety standards, mentor team members, and drive a proactive safety culture across active construction projects to protect personnel and uphold regulatory excellence.

responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and complex job site inspections to ensure full compliance with company, state, and federal OSHA regulations.
- Identify, document, and track non-compliance hazards while coordinating timely corrective action plans.
- Maintain comprehensive site safety records, including incident investigations, inspection reports, and regulatory filings.
- Develop training materials and facilitate safety programs, emergency response, and mentoring for field staff.
- Review daily job hazard analyses and provide guidance on safety operating processes and risk mitigation.
qualifications:
4+ years of construction safety experience, including safety training and hazard analysis. Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences, or equivalent strong construction safety experience. Active CPR, First Aid, and OSHA training (OSHA 10/30/40); OSHA 500 preferred. Valid CHST or ASP certification is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards, safety management systems, and incident investigation protocols.
