Join our client, an industry leader solving complex challenges to build a safer, more sustainable world, as a Life Safety Systems Engineer in an Onsite role based in Tempe, AZ. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, at least 4 years of AutoCAD and Life Safety Systems (LSS) design experience, and eligibility for Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

responsibilities:
- Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) to design code-compliant fire sprinkler, gaseous agent, fire/toxic gas detection, and security systems.
- Create 2D deliverables and 3D BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP in coordination with architects and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, specifications, and network diagrams adhering to NFPA, IFC, and IBC codes.
- Interface directly with client counterparts, state and local code officials, and senior design professionals across project phases.
- Lead project deliverables, estimate resources, manage schedules, and mentor junior staff on mid-to-large-scale asset protection projects.
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with the ability to attain PE licensure (active PE preferred) and 4+ years of AutoCAD design experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA codes (70, 72, 101, 400), building codes, and design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA, CCTV, and leak detection.
Proven ability to estimate and schedule projects; experience with Revit BIM software, semiconductor, or data center facilities preferred.
