Are You Ready to Launch Your Finance Career? We are seeking a meticulous and driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Irvine. In this role, you won't just enter data—you will be the guardian of our vendor relationships and the first line of defense against financial discrepancies.
The Day-to-Day Impact
- End-to-End AP Management: Prepare, record, and analyze accounts payable transactions. You’ll be responsible for ensuring vendor invoices are paid and customer payments are posted with precision.
- Financial Integrity: Maintain and reconcile AP ledger accounts, contribute to financial statements, and prepare detailed reports for leadership.
- Fraud Detection: Play a critical role in security by preparing analyses of bill runs to detect irregularities or fraudulent activity.
- Compliance & Verification: Champion internal controls by ensuring every transaction follows strict entry verification procedures.
- Customer Interaction: Manage low-volume customer billing and act as the primary point of contact for resulting inquiries, providing professional and timely resolutions.
- Education: A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or an equivalent amount of practical experience).
- Judgment: The ability to move beyond rote tasks and use professional expertise to make informed judgments based on previous experience.
- Independence: A self-starter attitude with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Analytical Mindset: An eye for detail that allows you to spot a discrepancy in a report from a mile away.

Responsibilities
Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts payable transactions. Pays vendor invoices and receives and posts customer payments on a timely basis. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports. Prepares analyses and reconciliations of bill runs to detect fraud. Ensures that transaction entry verification procedures are followed. May prepare and deliver low-volume customer billing and respond to resulting queries. This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
