Responsibilities
Core Accounting & Compliance
- Execute the month-end close process, including journal entries and accruals.
- Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations, specifically focusing on high-volume transaction accounts.
- Ensure all financial records maintain compliance with GAAP standards.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, variances, and anomalies in financial performance.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (via Power BI or Tableau) to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Translate raw financial data into clear summaries for executive leadership.
- Identify "bottlenecks" in the accounting cycle and use tools like SQL, Python, or advanced Excel (VBA/Power Query) to automate them.
- Collaborate with the IT/Data team to optimize the integration between our ERP (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and other business systems.
- Maintain data integrity by performing regular audits of financial databases.
