Responsibilities
- Be the friendly face that greets guests and co-workers as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Handle incoming phone calls, screen them, and direct them to the correct department.
- Guide visitors to the appropriate person or office.
- Offer basic and accurate information in person and via phone or email regarding the Authority and its programs.
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
- Perform secretarial duties for Program Director and staff as required; prepare all correspondences, reports and annual packets.
- Assist Resident Selection by providing general information to applicants and agencies; dispense applications; process bulk mailings; file and enter applications into the computer.
- Accept payments for outstanding accounts and maintain records of persons owing money to the Authority.
- Compile statistics for determining rent.
- Monitor and take the necessary steps to replace expended material and forms.
- Maintain work room and office equipment.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-presented.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as requested.
- · Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to speak English and Spanish preferred.
