Responsibilities
- Daily Dispatch Management: Coordinate and oversee the daily dispatch of outbound shipments, ensuring all drivers (internal and third-party) have optimized routes and accurate documentation.
- Cold Chain Integrity: Monitor and enforce strict temperature-controlled transport protocols to ensure product quality remains uncompromised from the loading dock to the customer.
- Real-Time Problem Solving: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers to resolve delivery delays, mechanical issues, or site access challenges on the fly.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Work closely with the production and warehouse teams to align daily yields with pending sales orders, managing "short-ships" or substitutions when necessary.
- Carrier Relations: Negotiate rates and manage relationships with freight brokers and external carriers to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain accurate digital logs (ELDs), shipping manifests, and BOLs, ensuring all transport activities meet DOT and food safety regulations.
