The Opportunity Join a global leader in the food and beverage industry at their sophisticated operational hub in Solon. This is a high-visibility, execution-focused role within a world-class payroll department. As a Timekeeping & Payroll Support Specialist, you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll for a massive workforce, working in close coordination with international shared services teams to maintain the highest standards of internal control.
Core Responsibilities Timekeeping & Intake Processing
- In-the-Weeds Administration: Process critical timekeeping intake forms, including missed punches, clock transfers, and accrual balance adjustments.
- Compliance Management: Support termination payouts and ensure all processing adheres to strict state-mandated pay requirements.
- Accuracy Oversight: Review and correct all intake submissions prior to rigid payroll cutoffs.
- Workflow Coordination: Manage missed sign-offs, correct missing punches, and monitor international payroll checkback communications.
- Print & Distribution: Execute on-cycle and off-cycle check printing; manage check stock logs, audits, and reconciliations.
- Mailroom Oversight: Stuff, sort, and distribute payroll checks; manage UPS labels and coordinate mailroom pickup schedules.
- Audit & Control: Perform weekly payroll control audits and location balancing reviews to ensure 100% data integrity.
- Record Keeping: Manage returned paychecks, reprint W-2s as required, and maintain secure tracking logs.
- Compliance: Ensure all payroll documentation, validation files, and emails are filed in accordance with corporate retention policies.

Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experienced-level payroll or administrative support.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Payroll Processing and a basic understanding of Payroll Tax.
- Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage repetitive, high-volume operational tasks with extreme consistency and accuracy.
- Communication: strong written and verbal skills to coordinate across departments and with offshore partners.
- Systems: Experience with SAP Payroll (administrative access) or UKG Pro / Kronos timekeeping.
- Environment: Previous experience in a shared services or matrixed global organization.
