Key Responsibilities
- Consult & Estimate: Meet with customers to understand project specifications (dimensions, materials, quantities, and timelines). Calculate labor and material costs to provide accurate quotes.
- Project Planning: Translate customer orders into technical production specs. Ensure all "fine print" details are captured before the job hits the floor.
- Procurement: Identify and order the necessary raw materials and supplies required to fulfill specific jobs.
- Production Liaison: Hand off projects to the production team. You will be responsible for communicating priorities and ensuring the shop floor has everything they need to succeed.
- Quality & Timeline Management: Track the progress of jobs in real-time, ensuring deadlines are met and the final product matches the initial estimate.
- The "Math" Brain: You should be comfortable with measurements, basic geometry, and mental math. Accuracy in "numbers and sizes" is the backbone of this role.
- Communication Skills: Ability to talk professionally with customers and clearly with the production crew.
- Organizational Ninja: You’ll be juggling multiple orders at once; staying organized isn't just a plus, it’s a requirement.
- Technical Aptitude: While we will train you, a background in manufacturing, print, packaging, or construction (where you’ve dealt with specs) is a major advantage.
- Ownership Mentality: You are someone who takes pride in seeing a project through from a simple phone call to a finished product on a shipping pallet.
