I am conducting a highly confidential search for a Senior Cost Accountant on behalf of a hyper-profitable Aerospace & Defense manufacturer in the Central Texas (Waco) corridor. This organization operates with the agility of a private equity firm. They are looking for an analytical powerhouse with a true "owner mindset" to take total command of their standard cost systems, dissect complex BOMs, and drive their Quarterly Pay-for-Performance (PFP) matrices through relentless variance analysis.
The Mandate:
- Maintain and optimize the standard cost system via INFOR ERP / MAPICS.
- Execute deep-dive analysis on scrap, usage, and purchase price variances.
- Oversee cycle counting, fixed assets, and capital spend tracking.
- Report directly to executive financial leadership.
- BBA/BSBA in Accounting/Finance (MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of rigorous manufacturing cost accounting experience.
- Must meet strict "US Person" Export Control Requirements (ITAR/EAR).
- 100% On-site execution in the Greater Waco area.

Responsibilities
- Cost System Management: Maintain and update the standard cost system by analyzing bills of materials (BOM) and associated routing.
- Variance Analysis: Investigate monthly scrap, usage, and purchase price variances.
- Production Reporting: Compare actual manufacturing costs against standard costs and provide management with reports affecting product pricing and profitability.
- Inventory Control: Lead and coordinate the company’s cycle counting policies and analyze all levels of inventory data.
- Asset & Capital Management: Manage the fixed asset system, including depreciation methods and tracking capital spend for productivity projects.
- Performance Metrics: Calculate and report quarterly Pay-for-Performance (PFP) metrics and assist in month-end general ledger closes.
