Key Responsibilities
- Month-End & GL Management: Lead the month-end close process by preparing work papers, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts to sub-ledgers and bank statements.
- Revenue & Billing Operations: Ensure accurate customer billing by verifying shipping and sales orders. You’ll manage the end-to-end process, from invoicing to handling RMA paperwork and credit memos.
- Cash Management: Process daily cash receipts (lockbox, checks, and credit cards) and ensure precise application within our SAP ERP system.
- Credit & Collections: Proactively manage the A/R aging report. You will conduct credit inquiries for new customers, monitor credit limits, and perform collection activities to maintain a DSO of 45 days or less.
- Financial Integrity: Monitor fixed assets, manage depreciation, and ensure proper transaction coding, including tariff codes for international imports.
- Strategic Analysis: Tackle special projects involving data collection and variance analysis to help forecast trends and identify tax-specific revenue.
- Experience: Prior experience with a fully integrated accounting system (SAP preferred).
- Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Office.
- Analytical Mindset: strong math aptitude and the ability to find "the story" within large data sets.
- Communication: Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and handle sensitive data with total confidentiality.

- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements) and internal management reports.
- Fixed Assets & Depreciation: Manage the fixed asset module, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and monthly depreciation schedules.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and explanations for internal and external auditors during annual audits or tax filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and recommend automation or procedural changes to improve accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal company policies.
