Essential Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Directly supervise 30+ personnel across fabrication, assembly, and paint departments, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Operational Excellence: Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and hit daily production targets.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the fabrication of aluminum slats and the integration of emergency light bars, ensuring precision in every roll-up door produced.
- Quality & Finish: Manage the painting and buffing processes to ensure a flawless, durable finish required for emergency fleet vehicles.
- Problem Solving: Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve throughput and efficiency (Six Sigma experience is a significant advantage).
- Experience: Seasoned background in aluminum and steel manufacturing is essential.
- Supervisory Background: Proven track record leading teams of 25+ in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of metal fabrication, assembly, and industrial paint/buffing processes.
- Lean Expertise: Solid working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; no degree is necessary for candidates with equivalent professional experience.
- Salary: $68,000 – $75,000 per year (DOE).
- Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Fridays are scheduled as needed (typically half-days).
- Placement: Open to Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire arrangements.
