About the Role Are you an experienced procurement professional who loves negotiating a great deal and keeping projects moving smoothly? We are looking for a talent-driven Buyer to join our materials engineering solutions clinets team in Santa Clara! In this role, you will act as a key player in our supply chain, collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and vendor networks to source high-quality materials, manage a supplier portfolio of up to $5M, and keep our inventory perfectly balanced. What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of solid, hands-on experience in purchasing, procurement, or direct marketing.
- Tech-Savvy Skills: Proficiency with industry procurement software—specifically SAP, SCV, or ARIBA—alongside strong data analysis capabilities.
- Core Knowledge: A strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, logistics, and contract negotiation.
- People Skills: Exceptional communication, sharp critical thinking, and the ability to stay cool and adapt quickly under pressure.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do Every Day
- Manage & Negotiate: Oversee a portfolio of non-strategic suppliers (up to $5M), negotiating the best pricing, contracts, and terms.
- Source & Procure: Issue RFQs, analyze vendor proposals, and manage the purchase order process from start to finish—ensuring we get the best quality for the best price.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Team up with Engineering and Manufacturing to forecast inventory needs and scout out excellent new suppliers.
- Keep Things on Track: Follow up on orders, expedite urgent shipments, and ensure everything arrives on time.
- Solve Mysteries: Take the lead on troubleshooting any tricky accounting, invoicing, or material receiving issues.
