Position Overview A well-established, family-owned manufacturing and building materials supplier in the Medley area is seeking an organized, independent Accounting Specialist.
In this role, you will lead the administrative office’s full-cycle accounting functions—managing daily transactions, processing payroll, and bringing the books all the way through to month-end financial reporting. This position is a great fit for an accounting professional who is proficient in QuickBooks Online and comfortable managing an office's financial workflow independently. Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience, no degree required.
- Software Mastery: Proficient with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Skills: Solid understanding of transactional bookkeeping, bank statement reconciliation, payroll tracking, and vendor relations.
- Traits: A reliable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys managing office workflows solo and communicating professionally.

Responsibilities
- Accounts payable for approximately 20 vendors.
- 3-way-matching.
- Reconcile company bank accounts and credit card statements monthly.
- Prepare payment runs.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports for approximately 20 active clients and handle collections follow-ups.
- Post and apply incoming checks, ACH, wires, and credit card payments directly to client accounts in QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare standard monthly journal entries and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Prepare the month-end reporting.
- Collect and verify employee time sheets for a team of 12.
- Submit accurate hours to the payroll provider each pay period.
- Manage the HR onboarding process for all new hires, including collecting I-9, W-4, and direct deposit forms.
