Core Responsibilities
- Supervise Personnel: Oversee daily workload assignments, training, coaching, and professional development for the team.
- Manage Performance: Monitor productivity, address conduct or attendance issues, and deliver ongoing performance feedback.
- Optimize Staffing: Balance daily labor, scheduling, and cross-training to adapt to changing operational demands.
- Oversee Distribution Operations: Coordinate daily material handling, receiving, warehousing, order picking, packing, shipping, and product flow.
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy: Ensure compliance with inventory processes, including physical counts, reconciliation, and proper product handling.
- Manage Equipment & Facility: Ensure forklifts, handheld devices, and assets are safely maintained while keeping the facility clean, organized, and secure.
- Drive Process Improvement: Monitor key metrics to identify and implement initiatives that boost safety, quality, throughput, and labor efficiency.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate operational, shipment, and personnel records in alignment with safety regulations.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with support departments, customers, and suppliers to resolve operational issues and meet service expectations.
- Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced logistics, warehousing, or distribution environment.
- Understanding of warehouse practices, safety expectations, inventory movement, and efficiency metrics.
- Proven ability to coach, train, develop employees, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to implement effective corrective actions.
- Proficiency with handheld devices, MS Excel, MS Word, and Business Management Systems.
- Attendance record and ability to adjust schedule/hours as needed to support operations.
