As our Buyer / Planner, you will sit at the center of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for balancing supply with demand, ensuring our production lines run smoothly without interruption, and managing vendor relationships. Responsibilities
- Inventory & Order Management: Use our MRP system to maintain optimal inventory levels of finished products and components by issuing timely work orders and purchase orders.
- Production Scheduling: Ensure consistent production schedules to maintain target inventory levels and meet customer demand.
- Supplier Relations: Issue purchase orders to vendors and maintain close, collaborative working relationships with existing suppliers.
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify and develop alternative suppliers for key items to mitigate risks and improve supply chain resilience.
- Negotiations: Conduct price and contract negotiations, maximizing purchasing flexibility and cost savings for the company.
- Risk Management: Monitor market trends and supply chain risks, taking proactive, timely action to ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with factory supervisors and production management to keep operations aligned.
