Responsibilities
- Securely download, review, and accurately apply high-volume daily cash receipts (including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit cards) to customer accounts in accordance with remittance advice.
- Reconcile daily bank deposits against ERP postings; identify, research, and resolve unapplied cash, short-pays, overpayments, and deductions.
- Partner closely with Collections, Credit, and Sales teams to investigate and resolve payment variances, pricing discrepancies, and missing remittance information.
- Perform account analysis and execute approved adjustments, write-offs, journal entries, and offsets to maintain clean customer ledgers.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and organized documentation of all cash application activities and audit trails within the ERP system.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end AR closing activities, including bank reconciliations and reporting schedules, ensuring all tight deadlines are met.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, SOX audit requirements, and company financial policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of three to five years of dedicated experience in Accounts Receivable, specifically focused on high-volume Cash Applications.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data manipulation and lookups). Experience with Oracle EBS, JDE, and BI reporting is a plus.
