Responsibilities
- Data Integrity & MRP Management: Champion accuracy for purchase orders, item master data, and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems.
- Production Planning: Control the planning function for a technical product line; adjust schedules and priorities dynamically to meet shifting demands.
- Inventory Control: Maintain safety stock inventories to optimize material flow and mitigate production downtime.
- Supplier & Vendor Relations: Coordinate purchasing across teams; manage vendor on-time delivery, address incorrect materials, and resolve logistical issues.
- Financial & Forecasting Metrics: Track and report shipping forecasts and delinquency targets; negotiate supplier pricing based on cost targets.
- Process Optimization: Continuously streamline paperwork processes and implement digital/electronic solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with production and all internal tiers of personnel to ensure seamless operations.
- Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency with enterprise computer systems and office productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
strong analytical aptitude for planning, negotiating, and strategic material procurement.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
