In this role, you aren't just moving boxes—you are the crucial first and last line of defense for our inventory and finished products. From inspecting raw materials to custom-crating high-value industrial components, your craftsmanship and accuracy will keep our supply chain running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Verify & Inspect: Accurately inspect incoming raw materials for defects, verify counts against packing slips, and sign off on deliveries. Perform final quality checks on outgoing finished goods.
- Heavy Industrial Handling: Safely load and unload large, heavy industrial components using specialized material handling equipment.
- Custom Crating & Packaging: Modify pallets, cut dunnage, and build secure custom crates to ensure heavy equipment travels safely without damage.
- Inventory & Systems Tracking: Use computer systems to log incoming stock, update shipment statuses, and print accurate shipping documentation/labels.
- Warehouse Safety & Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while adhering to all shop floor guidelines. What We Are Looking For:
- Carpentry & Packaging Mindset: Comfortable using hand/power tools (saws, nail guns, tape measures) to cut dunnage and build robust crates.
- Sharp Attention to Detail: An eagle eye for spot-checking defects, reading specifications, and verifying part numbers.
- Computer Literacy: Basic to intermediate computer skills for logging shipments, navigating inventory programs, and printing labels.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50+ lbs consistently throughout a shift in a fast-paced environment. Why Join J&H?
