Role Summary We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Specialist to join our team. The primary function of this role is to verify, research, and accurately input data using computer systems and specialized databases. The ideal candidate will possess documentation skills, exceptional time management, and the ability to operate independently. Following a comprehensive training period, you will be responsible for managing your own workflow, reviewing requests, and submitting changes in strict adherence to regulatory and business guidelines. Performance Expectations & Workflow Independent Workflow: Upon successful completion of training, the specialist is expected to be self-directed, proactively pulling assignments from dedicated electronic work folders. Daily Targets: Maintain a minimum productivity standard of 8 completed submissions per 8-hour shift. (Please note: production targets are subject to adjustment as internal processes evolve.) Regulatory Compliance: Thoroughly review incoming requests, conduct necessary research, and execute data changes in compliance with all relevant regulations and business rules. Key Responsibilities Data Processing: Read and interpret source documents, including practitioner profiles and emails, and accurately enter data into specific system fields. Quality Assurance: Compile, sort, and rigorously verify the accuracy of data prior to system entry. Compare system data against original source documents to ensure exact matches. Error Resolution: Proactively locate and correct data entry errors. Escalate complex discrepancies or systemic issues to supervisors when necessary. Record Keeping: Accurately document and record customer/client information. Maintain detailed daily logs of all activities, transactions, and completed work. Project Management: Exercise personal project management and time management skills to ensure all daily queues and tasks are cleared efficiently. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience 2+ years of related data entry or administrative experience. Previous experience in a Health Plan or Provider-facing environment is highly preferred. Technical Skills Proficiency in standard computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. technical documentation skills. Familiarity with operating standard data entry devices, keyboards, and scanners.
