In this dynamic, hands-on role, you won't just sit behind a desk—you’ll inspect high-performance trucks inside and out, read technical blueprints, complete photo documentation, and take the driver’s seat for final test drives. What You’ll Do
- The Final Seal of Approval: Perform thorough inspections on partial and fully assembled commercial trucks to ensure 100% compliance with top-tier safety and quality standards.
- Test Drive & Evaluate: Take commercial trucks out for test drives to verify performance, air brakes, and handling (CDL B required!).
- Master the Specs: Read and interpret sales orders, line tickets, schematics, and engineering drawings to ensure builds match specs down to the last detail.
- Document & Communicate: Maintain clear digital/written inspection records, take quality-control photos of finished trucks, and collaborate with production teams to fix any callouts.
- Valid CDL Class B (with Tank & Air Brake endorsements) + current Medical Card.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, heavy vehicle, or mechanical environment.
- strong schematic reading skills and comfort using MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Sharp attention to detail, strong decision-making skills, and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to climb on/under trucks and work comfortably in both indoor and outdoor plant environments.
