Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Serve as the primary point of contact for an outpatient medical facility. Manage front-desk workflows including patient check-in, registration, appointment scheduling, payment collection, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) updates while maintaining strict patient privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly, facilitate intake, and check in appointments efficiently.
- Assist patients with completing required healthcare and insurance documentation.
- Collect and accurately process co-pays and service payments.
- Schedule patient appointments and update EHR documentation in real time.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Assist with administrative tasks and orienting new department staff.
- Proven experience in outpatient front-desk operations or patient services.
- Experience with appointment scheduling and EHR system navigation.
- Ability to collect payments and facilitate intake and insurance forms.
- strong verbal and written communication skills with strict HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work the early morning 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM shift on-site.
- Preferred: Revenue cycle workflow experience.
