Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Manage the trauma registry database to ensure accurate, timely, and accessible data for trauma program operations, survey readiness, and state management compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, compile, abstract, and present trauma data including injury severity, incidence, causes, and patient outcomes.
- Maintain clinical and research databases to support Oregon and California trauma management standards.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility for trauma services.
- Support data collection utilized for process improvement, research studies, clinical effectiveness, and educational activities.
- Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) certification required.
- Completion of AIS course through AAAM and ATS Trauma Registry Course (TRC).
- Proven experience in trauma registry data entry, abstraction, management, and reporting.
- strong capability to work independently in a non-clinical data role.
- Preferred: Background in hospital trauma services, survey readiness, or process improvement research.
