About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Senior Consultant to deliver high-level technical analytics, pricing strategy, and risk insights for our Management Liability and Financial Lines business unit.
This role offers significant autonomy and impact as you will monitor profitability trends, build advanced analytical models, and present actionable recommendations directly to senior underwriting, claims, and finance leadership. Whether you are fully remote or based near our Chicago office, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance across complex coverages.
What You Bring to the Table
- Credentials & Education: ACAS or FCAS designation required, paired with a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: Typically 7+ years of progressive actuarial experience within property and casualty insurance. Direct experience with Management Liability / Financial Lines products is strongly preferred.
- Technical & Coding Proficiency: Advanced actuarial technical expertise. Experience coding in R or Python is preferred.
- Strategic Influence: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams through data-driven insights.
- Problem-Solving DNA: strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and solve complex challenges with limited data.

Key Responsibilities
- Pricing & Profitability Strategy: Perform advanced actuarial analyses to guide pricing strategies for Management Liability, Financial Institutions E&O, Employment Practices Liability (EPLI), Directors & Officers (D&O), Fiduciary, and Fidelity coverages.
- Trend Analysis & Executive Communication: Proactively monitor profitability and claim trends. Translate complex data into clear, technical reports and present strategic recommendations to executive leadership, underwriting, and claims partners.
- Financial Modeling & Analytics: Provide quantitative support for risk analysis, economic research, and forecasting. Facilitate guidance on model application across Actuarial and Finance teams.
- Tool Development & Projects: Create, modify, and enhance analytical tools and predictive models to improve forecasting accuracy and support special business initiatives.
