A premier global Tier-1 automotive supplier in Troy, MI, is seeking an experienced, hands-on EHS Coordinator for a long-term (1–2 year) contract. EHS Coordinator (Long-Term Contract)
- Location: Troy, MI Area (On-Site)
- Pay Rate: $33.00 – $38.00 / hr (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-Time / First Shift (1–2 Year Assignment)

- Safety Audits & Compliance: Conduct site assessments across walking/working surfaces, noise, ventilation, chemical handling, and confined spaces to ensure OSHA/MIOSHA compliance.
- LOTO Champion: Serve as the technical SME on Lockout/Tagout (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic), perform risk analyses, and coach technicians on machine safety.
- Investigations & PPE: Lead incident evaluations, assess PPE effectiveness, and assist HR with safety claims.
- Training & Reporting: Train staff on safety protocols, maintain IMS compliance, and prepare technical hazard reports.
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated EHS experience in industrial or automotive manufacturing.
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent technical experience.
- Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of hazardous energy control, machine guarding, and complex LOTO concepts.
- Certifications & Skills: Certified Forklift Trainer preferred. strong computer literacy, analytical abilities, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Safety Protocols & Procedures: Assist in developing, executing, and updating facility protocols to guarantee full regulatory compliance.
- Facility Audits & Inspections: Design and conduct health and safety surveys across plant floors to identify and remediate potential hazard exposures.
- Environmental & Occupational Health: Investigate workplace complaints and evaluate risks related to noise, chemical fumes, toxic substances, lighting, ventilation, and fall protection.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Execution: Apply technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic energy to manage hazardous energy controls machine-by-machine.
- Risk Assessments: Perform thorough risk analyses prior to standard or non-standard maintenance work performed inside plant equipment.
- Equipment & Chemical Evaluation: Review equipment specifications, chemicals, and products for potential stressors and recommend appropriate PPE changes.
- Training & Coaching: Coach technicians, operators, and staff on LOTO, safe work routines, and operational safety rules.
- Management Systems (IMS): Maintain compliance with plant Integrated Management Systems covering Quality, Safety, and Environmental processes
