Responsibilities
- Case Auditing & Setup: Audit newly merged and confirmed bankruptcy cases to ensure data matches court filings. Conduct midterm, unfeasible, and final close-out audits to verify all creditors are paid according to the confirmed plan before case discharge.
- Escrow Processing: Review and analyze real estate escrow documents to generate precise payoff demands for escrow officers when a debtor sells or refinances a property.
- Claims Administration: Process, post, and code mortgage, secured, priority, and unsecured claims. Adjust account records based on amended schedules, claim withdrawals, or "Paid in Full" notices.
- Court Order Implementation: Interpret and process court orders including Attorney Fee Applications, Plan Modifications, Relief from Stay, and Adequate Protection Orders.
- Payment Adjustments: Process Notices of Mortgage Payment Changes (NMPC) and Forbearance Agreements (FBR); draft, file, and serve Notices of Plan Payment Changes (NPC).
- Financial Reconciliations: Research and resolve ledger discrepancies. Issue formal demand letters to retrieve funds when disbursements are made in error, processing necessary financial offsets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Monitor the shared Trustee email queue and respond to claims inquiries from debtors, creditors, and attorneys to resolve issues prior to litigation.
