What You Will Do:
- Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-progress, and finished products (including color, fat, moisture, viscosity, pH, and flavor).
- Hold non-conforming materials, investigate deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment using Good Laboratory Practices.
- Conduct environmental sampling, food safety audits, and allergen cleanup verifications.
- Monitor electronic systems to ensure compliance with weight and quality standards.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and assist with training new technicians.
- Maintain laboratory and work areas according to 5S standards.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 1+ years of experience.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and any of the three shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- Physical Ability: Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand movements in a high-noise laboratory and manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and comfort using electronic record-keeping systems.

Additionally, the role manages holds on non-conforming materials, investigates root causes, conducts line audits, executes environmental sampling, verifies allergen cleanups, and logs data in electronic tracking systems.
