Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounts receivable workflows, including processing high-volume billing, recording incoming cash/ACH/credit card transactions, and balancing subledgers.
- Leverage NetSuite ERP to generate accurately detailed customer invoices, issue credit memos, and update financial ledgers efficiently.
- Perform routine ledger audits to verify the balance of debits and credits, quickly isolating and rectifying any billing or variance discrepancies.
- Monitor aging schedules and execute targeted outreach (phone/email) to collect past-due balances while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Conduct thorough credit background evaluations on prospective clients, review D&B data or trade references, and establish appropriate payment parameters.
- Partner directly with client accounts to negotiate structured payment agreements, resolve billing disputes, and optimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Prepare comprehensive monthly aging reports and variance summaries for senior finance leadership.
- Post precise journal entries and execute subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations during month-end closing activities in alignment with GAAP standards.
- Maintain standard operating procedures and internal documentation to ensure compliance with internal financial controls and SOX frameworks.
- Work cross-functionally with Accounts Payable, Customer Service, and Operations to resolve missing purchase orders or billing issues at their root cause.
