This is an ideal role for someone who has mastered the fundamentals of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and journal entries, and is looking for a role that offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to executive leadership (COO), and career growth into cost and managerial accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Accounting & GL: Manage day-to-day general ledger operations in accordance with GAAP, including preparing monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting the month-end/year-end close processes.
- AP & AR Management: Oversee vendor bill processing, customer invoicing, payment schedules, and management of credit applications/vendor inquiries.
- Banking & Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all accounts.
- Cost Accounting & Inventory (Training Provided):
- Learn and support landed cost calculations (freight, customs, and tariff allocations) for imported medical components and devices.
- Assist with inventory valuation, product cost tracking, and margin analysis.
- Learn to track tooling purchases and customer/vendor-owned inventory managed by contract manufacturers.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with purchasing, logistics, and inventory management teams to align operational data with financial reporting.
- Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Excel and ERP databases to extract financial reports, perform cost driver analysis, and provide operational support to the COO and finance team.
