- Industry Experience: Proven leadership experience in recycling/waste management, heavy construction, fleet/transportation logistics, industrial services, or manufacturing environments.
- People Leadership: Solid background in supervisory techniques, employee development, union/CBA agreement compliance, and resource planning.
- Financial & Data Literacy: Demonstrated experience managing budgets, evaluating operational reports, and utilizing data to set business priorities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and site processing or heavy equipment operations.
- Education & Credentials: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid Driver’s License required (must be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) after hire).

Responsibilities
- Site & Operational Leadership: Manage site operations aligned with strategic operating plans, ensuring all workflows are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and efficient.
- Team Management & Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations and directly supervise Operations Managers. Oversee resource allocation, staffing schedules, and team motivation.
- Safety & Compliance: Monitor operations to guarantee compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and collective bargaining agreements (where applicable). Ensure all staff are properly trained and licensed to operate equipment.
- Budgeting & Performance Tracking: Assist in preparing budgets, capital expenditure plans, and equipment/staffing strategies. Generate operational reports, analyze key metrics, and implement data-driven recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational risks or rule infractions, establishing proactive corrective action plans to prevent future issues.
- External Representation: Serve as a key representative with city and government officials and actively participate in local community activities.
