Responsibilities
- Schedule Development: Build and maintain the master production schedule (MPS) to ensure on-time delivery.
- Capacity Planning: Review resource constraints and analyze supply versus demand using rough-cut capacity planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead planning meetings and work closely with sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and shipping departments.
- Problem Solving: Identify and assess risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule, and develop mitigation plans.
- Inventory & Material Control: Compare anticipated orders with raw material availability to prevent shortages or delays.
- Continuous Improvement: Update scheduling parameters, track performance metrics, and leverage planning tools (like MRP/ERP systems).
