Responsibilities
- Procure assigned materials, components, equipment, and services to support production schedules, inventory targets, cost objectives, and quality requirements.
- Review Oracle MRP signals and manage purchase orders, releases, pull-ins, pushouts, cancellations, and expedites as required.
- Maintain accurate purchase order dates, quantities, acknowledgements, and supplier commitments to support material readiness and planning visibility.
- Track shortages, late deliveries, and excess inventory; communicate risks early and drive recovery actions to minimize production impact.
- Partner with planning, manufacturing, logistics, quality, finance, receiving, commodity management, and suppliers to resolve purchasing, shipment, receiving, invoice, and payment issues.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance, responsiveness, open order status, and corrective action follow-up.
- Review Engineering Change Notices, part releases, and planning changes to keep purchase orders and supplier communications aligned.
- Identify, evaluate, and support sourcing from new suppliers to improve capacity, cost, quality, and business continuity.
- Apply automation, standardization, and process improvement experience to improve purchasing workflows, reporting, trackers, and recurring buyer reviews.
- Support special projects, supplier transitions, cost-reduction initiatives, and operational improvement activities as assigned.
