We are seeking an analytical, hands-on Senior Controller to take ownership of our accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance framework. In this role, you will lead our day-to-day accounting functions, internal controls, and partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial clarity. A major focus of this role involves cost accounting, inventory tracking, and operational efficiency within our winery operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & GAAP Compliance: Oversee the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP and tax regulations.
  
  
• Cost Accounting & Winery Inventory: Lead product costing, variance analysis, and margin assessments. Manage bulk and bottled inventory valuation, tracking, and financial reconciliations tailored to winery operations.
  
  
• Internal Controls & Risk Management: Design, execute, and monitor robust internal control systems to protect company assets and satisfy regulatory requirements.
  
  
• Team Leadership & Process Optimization: Direct and mentor accounting staff while continuously identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve accounting workflows.
  
  
• Audit & Advisory Management: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless annual audits and filing schedules.
  
  
• Strategic Planning & Analysis: Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance modeling. Translate financial metrics into actionable insights for leadership.
