Randstad is seeking a Buyer I for our global industrial manufacturing client in Youngsville, NC.

Position Overview

• Pay Rate: $27.00 to $29.81 per hour (W2)
• Location: On-site in Youngsville, NC
• Duration: 1-year contract (with potential for extension)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and detail-oriented recordkeeping skills.
• Must meet U.S. Person requirements (u.s. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or be eligible for an export control license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Direct experience using procurement software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Practical understanding of contract management, inventory, and supply chain logistics.
• Professional certification such as CSCP or CPSM.

• Source & Procure: Review purchase requests, identify suppliers, and request quotes to procure essential goods and services efficiently.
• Negotiate & Execute: Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate terms and pricing to secure maximum value before issuing purchase orders and contracts.
• Track & Expedite: Monitor order status, track delivery schedules, and resolve any delays to ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Manage Relationships: Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to resolve pricing or quality discrepancies and evaluate vendor performance.
