About the Role Are you a organized logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment? We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee daily dedicated fleet operations, streamline dispatching, and build good relationships with our driver team. In this role, you will work closely with our Project Manager to keep our supply chain running efficiently, safely, and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Dispatch & Fleet Management: Perform daily load planning, routing, and driver scheduling across dedicated fleet and common carrier resources.
- Driver Engagement & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, maintain positive working relationships, and manage driver payroll and expense auditing.
- Safety & Compliance: Collaborate with safety leadership to monitor HOS, driver compliance, and DriveCam metrics.
- Systems & Data Entry: Maintain real-time operational data in our TMW management system and prepare weekly customer invoices and KPI performance reports.
- Maintenance & Service Coordination: Schedule routine and emergency truck/trailer repairs while keeping clients and internal teams updated on service status.
- Experience: 2–3+ years of experience in transportation, dispatch, or logistics operations.
- Systems Knowledge: Hands-on experience with TMW (or similar Transportation Management Systems) and MS Office strongly preferred.
- Key Skills: Excellent problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a driver-first mindset.
- Flexibility: Ability and availability to work extended hours when operational needs arise.

Responsibilities
- Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers
- Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal (NFI) and external (Customer)
- Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using both Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
- Coordinates daily data entry into NFI’s proprietary order-management-system, TMW.
- Coordinates with home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks
- Provides weekly KPI/performance data reports to both internal and external parties
- Coordinates daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance.
- Works with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues
- Assists Project Manager with implementing NFI’s Safety, Security and Labor policies
- Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays if necessary
- Manages and maintains driver payroll
- Audits and approves driver expense reports
- Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed
