Responsibilities
- Payroll (50%): Run weekly/bi-weekly payroll for plant hourly and salaried staff in ADP or Paychex. Audit timecards, shift differentials, and overtime. Manage deductions, tax withholdings, GL allocations, journal entries, and W-2/CTPL compliance.
- Accounts Payable (40%): Manage full-cycle 3-way matching (POs, packing slips, invoices) for raw materials and operating costs. Resolve vendor variances, code to job/cost centers, execute ACH/check runs, capture discounts, and handle 1099s.
- Accounting Support (10%): Assist with month-end accruals (GR/IR), bank/card reconciliations, and audit records.
- 3+ years of accounting clerk experience in manufacturing or distribution.
- Hands-on proficiency with ADP (Workforce Now) or Paychex (Flex).
- Skilled in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and manufacturing ERPs (e.g., Epicor, JobBOSS, NetSuite, Sage).
- Associate degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid grasp of labor/inventory costing with strict attention to detail and confidentiality.
