Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to take full, "cradle-to-grave" ownership of the welding quality and production process in our high-precision Houston manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be the technical anchor for our weld shop, responsible for the entire lifecycle of a weldment—from verifying incoming raw materials and MTRs to performing the final first-article inspection and sign-off on outgoing severe-service components. An active AWS CWI certification is non-negotiable, as you will be responsible for the creation, upkeep, and auditing of all WPS, PQR, and WQR records in accordance with ASME Section IX, B31.1, and B31.3 standards. You must be equally comfortable at the inspection table and on the production floor, capable of utilizing precision measuring tools—such as dial-calipers, micrometers, and height gauges—to ensure complex geometries meet rigorous tolerances. Whether you are auditing welder continuity logs, verifying heat numbers for exotic alloys, or interpreting advanced Radiographic (RT) film, you will be the lead authority driving process efficiency and ensuring every component is hard-stamped and produced to the highest safety and quality standards. This is a Monday through Friday day-shift position with a compensation package up to $89,440 per year based on experience, with the option for frequent overtime as a bonus.
