In this full-time role, you will execute machining processes on swing shift, utilizing Swiss lathes, advanced metrology, and auxiliary equipment to guarantee components meet exacting standards. This position requires a knack for precision, detail, and the handling of extremely small turned parts.

Responsibilities
- Autonomous Operation: Independently operated CNC Swiss-style lathes during swing shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous production.
- Setup & Verification: Managed full machine setups, including tooling selection, offset configuration, program verification, and first-article approvals.
- Precision Adjustments: Executed in-process adjustments to tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain strict dimensional control and part quality.
- Quality Accountability: Took full ownership of night-shift quality through rigorous inspection, documentation, and adherence to control plans.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identified and resolved machining issues, including tool wear, machine alarms, and surface finish variations.
- Shift Coordination: Facilitated seamless handoffs with day-shift teams, communicating machine status, job progress, and optimization opportunities.
- Process Optimization: Utilized expert judgment and technical drawings to stabilize processes and reduce cycle times.
- Maintenance & Safety: Performed routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintained a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Tool Restoration: Skilled in grinding and reconditioning carbide and HSS cutting tools to exact specifications.
- Reporting: Maintained accurate production, quality, and downtime records to support operational goals.
