Shift: 8Am-5PM / Mon–Fri
Compensation: [$25 - $30] per hour
The Role: Where Craftsmanship Meets Precision We aren't looking for "button pushers." We are looking for a true craftsman who understands the soul of a machine. As a Manual Machinist you will be the go-to person for custom repairs, one-off prototypes, and critical low-volume components. If you enjoy the challenge of taking a raw piece of stock and a hand-drawn sketch and turning it into a precision-engineered reality, you belong in our shop.
What You’ll Do
- Take the Lead: Independently set up and operate manual lathes and Bridgeport-style milling machines.
- Solve Puzzles: Diagnose worn or broken parts and determine the best machining path to rebuild or replace them.
- Own the Process: Select your own tooling, grind your own bits when necessary, and manage your own workholding setups.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a manual job shop environment.
- The Toolbox: A working knowledge of shop math (Trigonometry is a must) and proficiency with all standard precision measuring tools.
- The Mindset: You take pride in a clean workspace and a perfectly finished surface. You don't just "make parts"; you solve mechanical problems.
- Reliability: You show up ready to work and can work independently without a CNC program to lean on.
