Position Summary The CNC Processor is responsible for translating structural shop drawings into machine-ready data to drive production efficiency. You will bridge the gap between engineering and the shop floor by managing material allocation and optimizing cutting patterns.
Duties
- Analyze shop drawings to prepare complex part information and routing for efficient fabrication.
- Prepare instruction sheets, cut lists, and material nestings using production control software.
- Create part shape files from drawings using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
- Manage material tracking and movement through procurement paths to allocate material to cut lists.
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent OR AutoCAD 2000 certification
- 3+ yrs experience preparing CNC programs
- Ability to read and interpret complex industrial blueprints and shop drawings.
