Responsibilities
Summary
The Laser, CNC Operator, is an essential member of this client operations. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining laser machines. Also, the operating and maintenance of our ‘die - less’ CNC cutting.
Running the Lasers
- Set Up & Cut: You load the programs and materials, making sure the machine cuts parts at the right speed.
- Quality Check: You inspect the first part and do random checks to make sure everything is perfect.
- Sorting: You "pick" the finished parts out of the metal sheets and stack them up.
- Maintenance: You handle daily cleaning (like windows and dust bins) and advanced repairs on the electrical or hydraulic parts.
- Planning: You arrange the parts on the computer to save material and time.
- Study the Plan: You look at blueprints and work orders to figure out how to make the part.
- Programming: You tell the mills and cutters exactly where to start and what to do by entering instructions.
- Setting Up: You install the tools and attachments needed for the specific job.
- Keeping Records: You write down what you did in logs so the next person knows what is happening.
