Responsibilities
- Assemble industrial mixers and blenders from start to finish using blueprints and work instructions
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and parts lists to ensure accurate builds
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete assemblies
- Install components such as motors, gearboxes, seals, bearings, and piping systems
- Perform mechanical adjustments, alignments, and torqueing to meet specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues during assembly and testing
- Disassemble, repair, and rebuild equipment as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on completed machines
- Conduct functional testing to ensure equipment operates properly before shipment
- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards
- Document work performed, including repairs, adjustments, and test results
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with shop standards
- Follow all safety procedures and union shop guidelines
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve build issues or improve processes
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and product quality
