As a Senior Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for supporting the production and inspection of all incoming and outgoing weldments and components, ensuring strict compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements. A primary focus of this role involves the comprehensive management of quality documentation, including the upkeep of Welder Qualification Records (WQR), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) in accordance with ASME Section IX, B31.1, B31.3, and AWS D1.1 codes. Beyond visual and dimensional inspections using precision tools like micrometers and calipers, you will maintain welder continuity logs, verify material traceability against sales orders, and ensure all components are accurately weld-mapped and hard-stamped. The position requires a current AWS CWI certification and specialized expertise in interpreting NDE methods, specifically the ability to read and interpret Radiographic (RT) film. Operating in a high-stakes shop environment, you will also serve as a safety role model by conducting daily inspections of gas equipment and cylinders while collaborating closely with manufacturing engineers to resolve production issues. This role offers a competitive compensation package of up to $43.00 per hour (approximately $90,000 annually) plus overtime.
